Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival 2012


We arrived early to this year’s Kodomo no Hi, avoiding the long queues for food later on in the day. Taiyaki, green tea mochi, okonomiyaki

As it was a children’s festival, it was full of kids walking around in kimonos. How cute!




First Year of Dentistry


I am back in Sydney after my stressful first year. I could not be more proud of making it through myself.

Most of our lectures related to biology, physiology or biochemistry. In the ADH clinic we practised as “dentists” to give each other a general examination. My Nineteenth Birthday


In the morning, I awoke to find a chocolate cake baked by my housemates. How sweet of them! And then I caught a friend sneaking off to university with my second cake, because I have this habit of leaving early.

Because of the timing of my breaks, I actually celebrated my nineteenth a month ago back in Sydney with my family, with the first of three birthday cakes and a dinner at Thai Pothong.
